Ella

Hand Ella your check calls and keep your desk on the next load

Every load means calls: where's the truck, will the driver make the pickup window, is the receiver's dock still on for 2 PM, where's the POD. Give Ella the list, the load details she may share and your questions. She calls each dispatcher and dock, takes the callbacks and emails you what each one said.

From $29 a month for 10 calls. Nothing is charged until your account is approved.

You give her the errand. Ella makes the phone calls.

She calls each contact from your own Ella number, between 8 AM and 8 PM where they are. She asks your questions, answers theirs from what you said she may share, leaves a voicemail when nobody picks up, and takes the callbacks. You get the summary and transcript of every call.

Every call opens the same way, played by code, not left to the model:

Hi, this is Ella, an AI assistant calling for your name at your company. This call is recorded.”

What she takes off your desk

Check calls on loads in transit

She calls each carrier's dispatcher with the load number, asks where the truck is and the ETA, and emails you what they said. One answer per load, in one table.

Dispatch and pickup windows

Before a pickup she confirms the driver is dispatched and will make the window, and asks what to tell the shipper if not. A no comes to you by email after the call.

Dock appointments

She calls the shipper's or receiver's dock to confirm a pickup or delivery appointment, the reference they need and any rules for the driver, and writes down what they said.

Trucks in a lane, PODs, rate cons

She asks carriers on your list who has a truck open in a lane on a given day, or chases the POD, the invoice or a rate confirmation signature, and takes the callbacks.

Errands you could hand her today

Calls out, collects answers

Morning check calls

The brief: “Call the dispatchers on these eight loads delivering today: where is the truck, is it loaded, and what's the ETA to the receiver. Load numbers and pickup cities are attached.”

What she does: Ella calls each dispatcher, leaves a voicemail when nobody picks up and takes the callbacks to your Ella number. The answers land in one table per carrier, and you get a summary, the transcript and the recording after every call.

Calls out, collects answers

Open trucks in a lane

The brief: “Call these six carriers we've used on Dallas to Memphis: do they have a dry van open Thursday for a pickup in Dallas, and what equipment. Don't quote a rate; tell them we'll call back.”

What she does: She asks each one the same questions and writes down who has a truck and what kind. If a dispatcher asks something only you can answer, like the rate, the question comes to you and she calls back with your answer.

Calls out, takes the callbacks

PODs and rate cons

The brief: “Call these five carriers whose loads delivered last week: ask them to email the signed POD and their invoice to our billing address, and sign the rate con if they haven't.”

What she does: She asks each carrier for what's missing and where to send it, leaves a voicemail when nobody answers, and takes the callbacks. You get a note per carrier saying what they promised and when.

Whom she may call

Carriers' dispatch lines, shippers and receivers are businesses, so a businesses errand covers them: you confirm the contacts are businesses reached at business numbers. An owner-operator's cell is fine when it is the number they do business on and you confirm that. If someone says it's a personal number or asks her to stop, she stops. She never makes sales calls to win freight. Every errand is checked before she contacts anyone. More on the rules in the main FAQ.

Which plan: A desk making 10 check calls a working day runs about 200 a month, which is Business and its 200 calls, with extra calls past it. A one-person desk with a few loads a week fits Pro and its 50.

Pricing

Monthly, per conversation: a call that reached a person or voicemail, a call to your number, or one email or text thread with one contact. No answer, busy and failed dials are free. Calls don't roll over.

  • Your number, one per account: toll-free $2.00 a month or local $2.50 a month, on the same bill.
  • Extra calls past your plan: $3.50 each, billed at the end of the month. You set a ceiling on them (25 to start, 0 to 1,000, or none); at the ceiling she stops starting new calls and tells you, and calls to your number are still answered.
  • Texts need your number registered with the mobile carriers; any carrier or Twilio fee for it is passed on at cost.
  • Change plans in your settings: upgrades right away, downgrades at renewal. Cancel any time.

Questions

More on Ella's main page.

Does Ella connect to my TMS or track trucks?

No. She isn't a TMS, doesn't connect to one and doesn't track trucks. You give her the list of carriers, shippers or receivers, the load details she may share and the questions to ask. She calls, and reads back what each dispatcher or dock said: by email after every call, on your dashboard, or through ChatGPT or Claude if you connect her there. You can also send errands from your own tools through the REST API.

Will she negotiate rates or book loads?

No. She doesn't negotiate rates or book freight. She shares only what you said she may share and asks your questions. If a dispatcher asks something only you can answer, like a rate, the question comes to you, and once you answer she calls them back.

Can she call drivers on their cell phones?

Carriers, shippers and receivers are businesses, so a businesses errand covers them: you confirm each contact is a business reached at a business number. Many owner-operators run their business from a cell phone, and that is fine when it is the number they do business on and you confirm it. If someone says it's a personal number or asks her to stop, she stops. She never makes sales calls to shippers to win freight.

Do dispatchers know they're talking to an AI?

Yes. Every call opens with a line played by code, not left to the model: "Hi, this is Ella, an AI assistant calling for <your name> at <your company>. This call is recorded." Then she asks the questions in your brief and answers theirs from what you said she may share.

What happens when a carrier calls back?

Ella calls from your own Ella number, and callbacks to it reach her. She knows which errand the caller is on and finishes the check call. After each call you get a summary, the transcript and the recording by email.

When does she call, and can she text?

Between 8 AM and 8 PM where the contact is, inside the window you set. Email works from the start. Texts work once your number is registered with the carriers, which takes one to three weeks. English only, US numbers.

Is every errand checked?

Yes. Every errand is checked before anyone is contacted, and one the check isn't sure about waits for a person to review it.
