Ella

Ella makes your supplier and sub calls, so you can stay on the job

Give Ella the list and the questions. She calls your lumber yard, supply houses and subs, gets price, stock and lead time, confirms start dates and delivery windows, and chases the sub who hasn't called back. You get a summary, the transcript and the recording after every call.

From $29 a month for 10 calls. Nothing is charged until your account is approved.

You give her the errand. Ella makes the phone calls.

She calls each contact from your own Ella number, between 8 AM and 8 PM where they are. She asks your questions, answers theirs from what you said she may share, leaves a voicemail when nobody picks up, and takes the callbacks. You get the summary and transcript of every call.

Every call opens the same way, played by code, not left to the model:

Hi, this is Ella, an AI assistant calling for your name at your company. This call is recorded.”

What she takes off your desk

Material prices and lead times

Ella calls each supplier on your list with the same items and quantities, writes down the price, what's in stock and how long the rest takes, and puts the answers side by side.

Confirming next week's subs

She calls your framer, electrician or tile setter to confirm the start date and crew size for next week, and tells you who confirmed, who moved, and who she couldn't reach.

Chasing the sub who hasn't called back

She tries him at the times you set, leaves a voicemail when he doesn't pick up, and takes his callback on your Ella number. When he calls, she knows what it's about.

Delivery windows and specialty quotes

She confirms the truck's day and window with the yard, or gets a quote from a countertop, glass or insulation shop. A question only you can answer comes to you, and she calls back.

Errands you could hand her today

One call, the engineer who built her

Lumber for a tabletop

The brief: “Call Fine Lumber & Plywood in Austin: board-foot price on 8/4 knotty alder and 8/4 poplar, whether they glue up a 40-inch top, the milling charge and turnaround, and can I pick the boards.”

What she does: In two and a half minutes she had both board-foot prices, found out their glue-up tops out at 36 inches, got the milling charge and turnaround, and confirmed he could hand-pick the boards. He read the summary and the transcript afterward.

Calls out, compares offers

Windows for a remodel

The brief: “Call these four window suppliers for a price on the 11 units on this list, the lead time, and whether delivery to the job site is included.”

What she does: She asks each the same questions and answers theirs from your list. The quotes land in one table with the one she'd pick and why. You choose; she lets that supplier know, and thanks the rest. Order and deposit stay with you.

Calls out, takes the callbacks

Subs for next week

The brief: “Call my plumber, electrician and drywall sub. Confirm each one starts at 214 Elm on the day on this list, and ask what they need from me before they show up.”

What she does: She writes down each one's answer and what they need. A sub who missed her and calls back gets her on your Ella number. If one asks to move his day, the question comes to you, and she calls him back with your answer.

Whom she may call

Suppliers and subs are businesses, so a businesses errand covers them: you confirm each contact is a business at the number it does business on, and a sub's cell counts when that's his business line. If someone says it's a personal number or asks her to stop, she stops and marks them. A homeowner client gets a call only if they agreed to be contacted by an AI assistant for you and you recorded where and when. She never makes sales or marketing calls to individuals. Every errand is checked before she contacts anyone. More on the rules in the main FAQ.

Which plan: A one-crew remodeler making a few supplier and sub calls a week fits Starter, 10 calls. Running two or three jobs at once, with quotes going out to several yards each week, is Pro, 50 calls.

Pricing

Monthly, per conversation: a call that reached a person or voicemail, a call to your number, or one email or text thread with one contact. No answer, busy and failed dials are free. Calls don't roll over.

  • Your number, one per account: toll-free $2.00 a month or local $2.50 a month, on the same bill.
  • Extra calls past your plan: $3.50 each, billed at the end of the month. You set a ceiling on them (25 to start, 0 to 1,000, or none); at the ceiling she stops starting new calls and tells you, and calls to your number are still answered.
  • Texts need your number registered with the mobile carriers; any carrier or Twilio fee for it is passed on at cost.
  • Change plans in your settings: upgrades right away, downgrades at renewal. Cancel any time.

Questions

More on Ella's main page.

Can Ella read my plans and do the take-off?

No. She doesn't read plans or take-offs and doesn't connect to estimating software. You give her the list of items, quantities and questions, and she calls with exactly that.

Is it fine for her to call a sub on his cell phone?

Yes, when that cell is the number he does business on. Subs and suppliers are businesses, so they go on a businesses errand, and you confirm each number is a business line. If anyone says it's a personal number or asks her to stop, she stops and marks them.

Will she call my homeowner clients?

Only if a client agreed to be contacted by an AI assistant for you and you recorded where and when they agreed. She never makes sales or marketing calls to individuals, and she doesn't chase leads.

Does the supplier know it's an AI calling?

Yes. Every call opens with a line played by code: "Hi, this is Ella, an AI assistant calling for <your name> at <your company>. This call is recorded." Then she asks your questions and answers theirs from what you said she may share.

What happens with the quotes?

On a quotes errand the offers land in one table with her pick and why. You decide, and she tells the supplier you chose and thanks the others. Placing the order and paying stay with you.

When does she call, and can she text?

Between 8 AM and 8 PM where the contact is, inside the window you set. She leaves a voicemail when nobody picks up and takes callbacks to your Ella number. Email works now; texts start once your number is registered with the carriers, which takes one to three weeks.

Can I start an errand from my phone?

Yes. Connect Ella to ChatGPT or Claude and ask in your own words, from the truck or the job site. Every errand is checked before anyone is contacted, and summaries come to your email after each call.
